After teaching the summer session and the fall semester, I realize how focused we have to be to accomplish our goals.  My goal is to help each of you progress as far as you can as fast as you can.   I ask that you set your own goal or goals high this semester.  Classes are small enough that each of you will receive much individual attention from me which should speed up your progress if you do your part. Resolve from the beginning to be in class on time, to do all of the assigned work, to ask questions, and to not sleep in class.

Each of you will have a folder in which to keep all of your work except that which you complete in your book. Please, keep up with ALL of your papers.  Any missing paper counts as a zero.

Grading Policy

The average of your daily grades counts as 25% of your final grade.  Tests and quizzes count as 65 %.  You will have an assigned project which will count as 10% of your final grade.  I will tell you more about that later.

Attendance Policy

Tardies of more than five minutes are assessed as absences at the rate of three tardies = one absence.  Missing more than half the class counts as an absence.  Sleeping in class results in an absence.  An excused absence is one with a written excuse from the doctor.  An excused absence means that you can make up the work, but you are still counted absence.  If you miss a class you get a zero as a daily grade for that class.
